We are currently recruiting for an Animal Feed Mill Operator to join our team in Baltinglass.

Mill Operator will be responsible for producing animal coarse ration and pellets.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • To support the production requirements of the mill by working as part of a highly committed & efficient team
  • Operate plant, monitor plant performance, in-process product testing and optimise efficiencies
  • Pellet & coarse ration production
  • Liase with weighbridge team ordering in raw materials and co-ordinating loads going out
  • Maintain cleanliness of machinery and surrounding area
  • Keep supervisor and/or QC informed of any issues
  • Following production schedules/deadlines as directed mill manager/supervisor and feed nutritionist
  • Adhering to Company and statutory hygiene, quality, safety and environmental policies and standards
  • Any other duties as reasonably required

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Setting and operating Milling Machines
  • Shift Work Required
  • Good verbal reasoning, numerate ability and mechanical aptitude skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of computers
  • Fork Lift Licence or loader ticket an advantage but not necessary
