Vacancy: Agriculture Graduate

Green Belt limited is looking for a full-time Manager in the Mid-West of Ireland.

Green Belt is Ireland’s largest private forestry group. Headquartered in Virginia, County Cavan since the foundation of the company in 1982, Green Belt has established more than 400,000 acres of forestry for over 10,000 clients nationally.

Clients include private land owners, farmers, High net worth individuals and international corporations.


The Role

As we already have a nationwide network of forest managers in place the successful candidate will be expected to integrate with the present workforce and establish their own client list to build upon the existing database. Ecology and Silviculture support will be available from the applications team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Site inspection for Afforestation applications, Planning reforestation sites, Felling licences, woodland improvement applications, Ash dieback RUS applications and Native Woodland Scheme applications.
  • Supervision and management of work crews
  • Advising Farmer / Investor owners
  • Working with ecologists, completing environmental reports
  • Maintaining industry standards on health and safety



  • A recognised qualification in Agriculture at level 7/8 on the QQI Framework of qualifications or equivalent
  • Competence in GIS
  • Motivated and highly organised, agile and adaptable to change
  • An ability to work on own initiative and multitask
  • Excellent planning and project management abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Excellent IT skills



  • A knowledge of all paperwork associated with the Department for Landowners
  • Previous sales experience



Salary commensurate with experience, plus phone, laptop and transport.
